[Gil and dodging don't go together unfortunately. Pride comes in SPADES. But if it's death you're worried about, Gilgamesh here doesn't care but he's very disconcerted that....he can't make a sword appear to block.]

There was no point if he couldn't even fight back.

...well, it was a little satisfying, but all the same it'd managed to slip his mind that Gilgamesh would be without his usual defenses.
