[So...a king and a cat were sitting on a porch drinking wine. This is clearly the path to a joke, right? WHO KNOWS but they've both been drinking for a while. You can tell because Gil is outside without a shirt but has awesome tattoos and White Len is wearing pajamas.

Even worse, they're eying up every passerby, including you.]

And where would you put that mongrel at?

Six... he really is quite dull. Average doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Hahaha! I would not even put him past a two! Fools will always be fools!

[Guess what? They're looking at you next. They will be tagging in separate threads since we both may not be around at all times.]

As they have claimed something of mine as their own, I have sentenced them to death.

You outskirt the question.

You say that it is beneath you to kill them. Yet, as they have something you own, you sentence them to death. The two dialogues are thus at opposite ends of one another.

Your next response will likely be that it is not the time you have set forth for their deaths.

[For whatever reason, chaos keeps that same small smile on his face the entire time he speaks, his tone level and never changing.]

You are a fool thrice over. A king does not pick up the executioner's axe. No, he leaves the work to dirty mongrels.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
I assure you, I am no fool. I also assure you, if you were truly a king endowed with the power to free those here, you would indeed raise the axe, if only to be able to attain the praises of the people. After all, I hear no one here speak of you as if you are their king.

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
You are a fool for attempting to second guess me or talk me into a corner. I am the king of everything in the world. I do what I wish. Compared to my subjects in the past, the people of today's world are all mongrels who shall die by my hands when I deem it so. However, I will not accept anyone killing them but myself.

Oh, if they cry for my help, I would rise to the challenge but they do not deserve it.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
You are arrogant. You say lovely words, but they are without substance.

You say you are a king, that you control this cage, yet you would let those who wish to return to their time to remain here? Despite the fact they obviously want away from here? Despite the fact that should you free them, they will say your name?

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Would they truly? No, no they will not. Humans today only care about themselves. Enriching themselves, eating more, becoming fat and slothful. If rescued, they will pat themselves on the back, bolstering themselves in their "ability to stand against aggression". They will never remember those that saved them and in return, I will not give them regard unless it is deserved.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
You generalize. Is it not enough if one remembers?

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Name a single one who would. And do not pull anything cute such as "myself".

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[chaos chuckles]

And why? Would it not be enough if it was myself?

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Things are easily said on the spot.

Bring me a person who would consider me a king and savior and I will consider your proposal.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
[chaos seems way too amused all of a sudden. It's likely something in Gil's phrasing, but good luck getting him to admit to it. Instead, he speaks.]

I do not express things I do not mean. If you do not believe that, ask those of who I know. So if I were to say I would praise you, then I mean that I shall.

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
We will see but I doubt you will find a single person among these mongrels.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
That is not what I just said, you realize?

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
I care not what you said. You have your task as mandated by the king.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
I still do not see why I should consider you to be a king.

[identity profile] kinpika.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I refuse to lecture you anymore.

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
[chaos chuckles, and leans nearer to Gilgamesh. Strangely, his voice remains ever the same, though his eyes show some form of amusement.]

So I only need find one person, right? And then you would use your supposed power to free everyone?

[identity profile] chaoschildofgod.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Make sure you can keep your word, then.
